OSB production
Two technologies. One goal: high-quality OSB strands.
High-quality OSB panels require strands with consistent geometry, controlled thickness, and excellent mechanical properties. Globus offers two complementary technologies for strand production, allowing manufacturers to choose the most suitable process according to the available raw materials and production requirements.
Traditional Strander Disc technology processes debarked logs to produce high-quality strands for conventional OSB production. RevoStrand®, on the other hand, introduces a completely new level of flexibility by producing engineered strands from wood chips generated from a much wider range of raw materials, including slabs, branches, small logs, veneer cores, and properly prepared recycled wood.
Consistent strands improve panel performance
Uniform strand geometry improves mat formation, enhances panel strength, optimizes resin consumption, and increases overall production efficiency.
Advanced preparation technologies ensure consistent strand dimensions while reducing fines and maximizing usable material.
Whether produced directly from logs or from engineered wood chips, consistent strand geometry is essential for achieving stable panel properties, efficient resin application, and reliable OSB production.
Uniform chip quality
Produce homogeneous chips for efficient refining
Two technologies
Choose between Disc Strander and RevoStrand® according to raw material availability and production strategy
Reliable operation
Heavy-duty engineering minimizes downtime and simplifies maintenance
Flexible raw material handling
Process different wood species with consistent performance
Optimize chip quality before refining
Every wood species behaves differently during refining. Through the Test Centre, customers can evaluate chip quality, optimize preparation parameters, and validate machine performance before investing in new production lines.
Laboratory analyses and detailed engineering reports help manufacturers improve refining efficiency while reducing operational risks.
