RevoStrand®: expanding the possibilities of wood stranding

We are proud to introduce RevoStrand®, Globus' innovative centrifugal stranding solution designed to transform a wide range of wood raw materials into high-quality strands for OSB (Oriented Strand Board) and SLPB (Super Light Particle Board) production.

Unlike conventional stranding technologies, RevoStrand® combines exceptional raw material flexibility with precise strand geometry, enabling manufacturers to optimize production efficiency while maximizing the value extracted from every piece of wood.

RevoStrand® processes input materials up to 300 mm in length and 100 mm in diameter, allowing producers to work with a broad variety of feedstock, including:

• Slabs, cut edges, and veneer cores
• Branches and twigs
• Small logs
• Recycled wood, such as pallets and sawmill beams

After metals and other contaminants have been removed, the material is processed into consistently sized strands suitable for demanding panel production. This flexibility allows manufacturers to increase raw material recovery, reduce waste, and adapt to changing material availability without compromising product quality.

From testing to industrial production

To support customers in this process, Globus has developed a state-of-the-art Test Centre, where a dedicated pilot plant allows full-scale trials using virgin wood, recycled wood, sawmill residues, and other challenging materials.

Every test is carried out under real operating conditions, enabling customers to evaluate machine performance, optimize process parameters, and validate the quality of the final product before making an investment.

The Test Centre is supported by a fully equipped laboratory, where our specialists analyze strand geometry, particle size distribution, and production data to provide comprehensive technical reports and tailored process recommendations.
